Sean and Brittney Young

Hello family!

For those who may not have met us yet, my name is Sean, son of Rob and Sonya, and Sonya was the daughter of Marvin and Nadine. My wife Brittney and I have two beautiful daughters, Sonya and Maggie, named for their grandmother and great-great-grandmother respectively.

This morning during scripture study I read Helaman 5:6 where Helaman is speaking to his sons Nephi and Lehi, and he says, "Behold, I have given unto you the names of our first parents....and this I have done that when you remember your names ye may remember them; and when ye remember them ye may remember their works; and when ye remember their works ye may know how that it is said, and also written, that they were good."

It occurred to me while reading this that with both of our daughters' namesakes gone, it is up to us to help them remember them and get to know their works. This is why I'm writing. In honor of both of their birthdays this month, and also as a favor to us and our daughters, we'd ask for you to share what you remember about both Sonya Young and Maggie Brown.

We're not asking for long letters or flowing eulogies or anything like that, but if you knew either of them please share something--a brief description of them, things they taught you, your favorite memory of them, or a funny story about them--anything to help Little Sonya and Maggie get to know them.
