I can't believe I'm doing this. Maybe old dogs can learn new tricks.
I just want to let you know we loved seeing all we got to see and hug at Murr's funeral. Thank you for being there and making it so special for us. It seemed way too "final" in terms of getting to visit with Murr again, but since it's not really "final", we'll trust the Lord with calling him away from us for now, and relish the memories of being with all of you in his honor.
We recently enjoyed a little "get away" to San Diego. We met Roger and Earlene there and really enjoyed spending a couple of days with them. The weather was great and the surroundings were beautiful. The real purpose, and hi-lite of the trip, was to visit the Mormon Battalion Visitors Center and see the film that Kim & Kevin's children + Tanaya & John's Cameron were in. Kaleb had a major role, and created quite a stir there with all the missionaries. It was really neat to be there and witness all that!
Most of our kids have blogs, so won't go into much detail about them, except to say that we love having them all so close and seeing them often. We really enjoy them and their families. We've really been spoiled to have them all close since Mark returned from his mission, but that will change soon. Mark & Ashley plan to move to Nebraska, where he will start law school, late summer. We, of course, have mixed emotions about that.
We're glad for such a strong family group, as we join our faith, with all of yours, in behalf of little Tyson Johnson, Amy, Brady, their other children and Roger & Earlene as they face this new challenge.
HE lives. HE loves us. HE allows us to struggle, but HE never lets us down. That is our testimony this Easter Sunday. Love, Mike & Maurine Huston
I knew you could do it mom, I am very proud of you!
